hostel casaltura was even better than my previous stay in santiago. the charming building, spacious rooms, and rooftop garden were all highlights. the central location made it easy to explore the city and the delicious breakfast fueled our adventures. highly recommend!
Noisy doorbell disturbed sleep.

Great place to stay right beside Park Forrestal and near Lastarria for dinner.
Super helpful front desk people.
A bit of a rough neighbourhood. Keep your eyes on your stuff when entering and exiting.

The location was excellent and the building was beautiful. I loved the wood and high ceilings. The rooms were well decorated. The breakfast was plentiful and the rooftop patio was very relaxing with good views. I think it is well-priced for what you get. I would come here again and recommend to others.

The welcome is warm and friendly and the place is clean with lots of interesting rooms and features. The showers are good and the beds are comfortable.
Don't stay here if you can't cope with stairs. There are 38 of them from street level to reception, then more if you have an 'upstairs' room. It's a winding spiral staircase, in nice wood, so good to look at as you go up!

I recently stayed at Hostel Casaltura for a few days and it was a wonderfully unique experience. The old mansion has been beautifully preserved, with original features such as wooden floors and high ceilings. The rooms were spotless and spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making sure that all our needs were met. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of options, and the rooftop terrace was a delightful spot to unwind. The location was excellent, with easy access to Lastarria and Plaza se Armas areas.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was mind-blowing, with a wide variety of delicious choices. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The location was perfect for walking to everything. The hostel was spotless, and the rooftop garden was jaw-droppingly beautiful. Despite being on a noisy main road, it didn't bother me as a light sleeper. The staff carried my heavy bag up and down the steep steps. They spoke excellent English and nothing was too hard for them. They even put out breakfast for me at 3am.

The location of the hostel is excellent, very close to the fish market and right in the center, just a few blocks from the main plaza. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the breakfast is decent, and there is free wifi available. the rooftop deck is a great place to relax.
The noise from the traffic outside could be quite bothersome.

Our stay at Casaltura was fantastic! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, allowing us to store our bags and hang out in the hostel even after we checked out. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were warm, clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Despite some minor issues with the hot water and noise, our overall experience was great. We would definitely recommend this hostel to others. I highly recommend this hotel.
